About Us
MindKind Therapies (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides affordable, accessible and specialist therapeutic services for adolescents, adults, and couples, both online and in-person.
We also facilitate community initiatives, including MindKind Day, which may involve donations and the sale of branded merchandise.
By booking services, making a donation, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Therapy Services
We offer:

Adolescent therapy
Sessions may be delivered in-person or online. Therapy is a collaborative process and specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Appointments and Booking

Sessions must be booked in advance. All sessions are weekly, held on the same day and at the same time unless otherwise specifically agreed. Sessions can either be booked as a package, solution focused approach of 12 weeks or open ended.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes for all individual therapy (adults and adolescents) unless otherwise agreed. Couples therapy may be agreed at 90mins.

Late arrival may result in a shortened session, that will still be charged at the standard rate.

For in-person sessions, clients will be informed prior of the location/ venue details, and are requested to arrive approx.3mins prior to session start time. Please note, some of the clinics do not offer a waiting room.

Eating is not permitted within the therapy room, but water will be supplied.

Fees and Payment

Fees are communicated and agreed prior to booking

Payment is required in advance or at booking unless agreed otherwise

Low-cost therapy options are subject to availability
Failure to pay may result in cancellation of sessions.

Cancellations, Missed Appointments and Holidays
We require at least 48 hours’ notice for all in-person sessions and 24hrs notice for online cancellations.

Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged in full

This ensures fair access to appointments for all clients
Client Holidays
We recognise that breaks are a normal part of life and therapy.

Clients may take up to 4 weeks’ holiday per calendar year without being charged

A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice must be provided to your therapist. Your assigned therapist will duly respect the same, and provide a minimum of 2 weeks notice of any planned holiday. Session fees will not apply when a therapist is on annual leave.

Holidays exceeding a 2 week period may be subject to standard session charges or review of your therapy slot
Providing notice allows us to manage availability and continue offering accessible services to others. In the event of emergency or unavoidable situation either on the part of the client or the therapist being unable to facilitate or attend a session with late notice, parties agree to notify the each other and the agency via letstalk@mindkindtherapies.com.
Ending Therapy and Notice Period
You are free to end therapy at any time. However, to support a safe and appropriate ending:

We ask for a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice

This should be discussed directly with your assigned therapist
This time allows space to:

Reflect on progress

Bring your therapeutic work to a considered close

Ensure appropriate support or onward recommendations if needed
We may also end therapy if:

Sessions are repeatedly missed
-
Payment terms are not met
-
The service is no longer clinically appropriate

Online Therapy
Clients are responsible for ensuring:

A private and safe environment
-
A stable internet connection
Sessions must not be recorded without consent. We kindly ask our clients to respect online etiquette in that the meeting still hold a professional approach.

Confidentiality
All sessions are confidential, except where:

There is risk of harm to self or others
-
Safeguarding concerns arise
-
Disclosure is required by law
Where possible MindKind Therapies' practitioners will always try to keep their clients informed should risk arise resulting in the need to breach of confidentiality, but in some cases, this cannot be guaranteed. Clients undertaking therapy with MindKind Therapies agree to these.

Adolescent Clients (Under 18)

Professional Standards
Therapists:
-
Are either qualified or in advanced training near qualification. Where trainee therapists are assigned within our low-cost service, they have all been vetted, and approved as Fit to Practice, and registered with a professional industry body. Their final qualification may require recordings of session. In such case, the trainee will gain pre-client consent in writing with the knowledge that all material will be autonomised, and held encrypted and password protected under Data Protection legislation for no longer than a six-month period.

Work within competence. In the event of any client's presenting issue falling beyond the professional competence of the assigned therapist, this will be reviewed and the client will be offered reassignment as appropriate. Where MindKind Therapies are unable to reassign, the client may either be placed on our waiting list with their consent, or be referred to signposted to an external service.

Receive bi-weekly or monthly supervision in line with BACP guidelines.

Record limited, factual clinical notes of all sessions, held on MindKind Therapies secure and encrypted portal in accordance with GDPR.

Follow ethical standards for safe, best practice - BACP, UKCP, BPS, NCPS, CORST

Donations
MindKind Therapies may accept voluntary donations, including those linked to MindKind Day and awareness campaigns.

Donations are non-refundable, unless required by law

Donations support the development of accessible, low-cost mental health services and community initiatives
-
We aim to use donations responsibly and transparently to further our mission
Making a donation does not establish a therapeutic relationship.

Merchandise Sales (MindKind Day & Campaigns)
We may offer branded merchandise for purchase via our website.
Orders & Payment

All orders must be paid in full at checkout

Prices will be clearly displayed, inclusive of any delivery charges and relevant taxes
Delivery

Estimated delivery times will be provided but are not guaranteed

MindKind Therapies are not responsible for delays caused by third-party delivery services
Returns & Refunds

Items may be returned within 14 days of receipt in unused and original condition

Refunds will be processed once items are received and inspected

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us on letstalk@mindkindtherapies.com within 7 days of receipt for resolution.
Limitation of Liability
Therapy is not a substitute for medical or emergency care.
MindKind Therapies is not liable for:

Decisions made outside of sessions

Delays or issues relating to third-party services (e.g.. delivery providers)
